While not strictly limited to Umbrella receivers, we put this kit together as a high quality option for customers looking to build-out their forged, mil-spec type AR-15 lowers without having to chase down individual components. This Umbrella kit includes all necessary parts to complete your forged lower receiver less the required stock assembly (receiver extension, end plate, extension nut, buffer, action spring, stock). In addition to the high quality individual pieces, this kit includes ALG/Geissele’s Quality Mil-Spec (QMS) hammer and trigger set, Battle Arms Development’s BAD-ASS ambidextrous selector, B5 Systems’ oversize swing down trigger guard, and Umbrella’s own Grip 23. For those not familiar, Geissele’s QMS trigger is a fantastic but economical upgrade to the standard mil-spec AR-15 trigger. The pull is similar to the stock trigger but much smoother with a clean break right around 6 pounds. Even so, this trigger meets specifications for the M4 carbine and as such complies with duty regulations requiring mil-spec parts. And the Battle Arms Development ambidextrous 90° selector represents the best ambi upgrade for the platform. B5 Systems’ aluminum trigger guard provides an oversized profile vs that of the straight mil-spec guard. With this design, B5 decided to maintain the fold-down capability of the original but this leaves the familiar gap between grip and trigger guard. For those bothered by this space, an aftermarket filler is advised. Parts kit includes the following components: As with all Umbrella products, these kits are made to the finest standards and carry an unconditional guarantee against material defect and manufacturing failure. Assembly by a qualified Armorer is required. Note: If you own, or have ordered an Umbrella billet lower, this is not the kit for that receiver.
